How can we help?
Answers to the most common questions about Neverhold. Need more? Reach out—real people are on standby.
How does spam filtering work?
Local/community filters run by default and do not consume minutes. If you enable API-based screening, calls may be bridged to Neverhold/Twilio; those calls use Neverhold minutes.
Why do you need overlay and phone permissions?
The overlay shows live call status and controls; phone permissions are required to set Neverhold as the dialer, manage calls, and surface status indicators.
How do I add minutes or get credits?
Buy minutes in-app. If support grants minutes (5/10/15) for an issue, it’s logged with your account for transparency.
What data do you store?
We store only what’s needed to operate: account info, role metadata, and transaction logs for minutes/points. Call screening can be local; API-based flows may store minimal metadata for security and auditing.
How do I report a problem?
Use the in-app support link or email support@neverhold.co. Include steps, device model, and a timestamp if it’s call-related.
What if I change my mind about privacy settings?
You can toggle spam/privacy levels in Settings anytime. Local filtering is privacy-safe; API-based screening is optional and transparent about minute usage.
- Default dialer & phone: to place/receive calls and surface call UI.
- Overlay: to show live status and call controls on top of other apps.
- Notifications: for call alerts, status, and security events.
- Contacts: to show names on incoming/outgoing calls and logs.
- Battery optimization exclusion: to keep filters and overlays responsive.
- API-based spam screening (uses minutes) for deeper protection.
- Recording (if enabled in your region) with clear on-call indicators.
