How can we help?
Answers to the most common questions about Neverhold. Need more? Reach out—real people are on standby.
Why does TAP need Bluetooth and Nearby Devices permissions?
TAP swaps contacts over Bluetooth and Nearby Connections, so both permissions are required to detect the other phone and complete the exchange. Nothing is shared until you start a TAP.
Can I import my system groups (Favorites, Family, Friends)?
Yes. Æther reads your existing system contact groups and mirrors them in the People tab automatically.
What data do you store?
We store what's needed to operate: your account info (name, email, phone) and, if you enable sync, your Æther contact cards and TAP exchange history tied to your account.
How do I report a problem?
Use the in-app support link or email support@neverhold.co. Include the steps you took, your device model, and a timestamp.
Can I turn off contact syncing?
Yes. Go to Settings → "Sync Aether basics to system contacts" to toggle syncing on or off anytime, or tap "Sync now" to force an immediate sync.
How do I back up or restore my contacts?
Signed-in accounts can back up Æther contacts to your account from Settings → Backup, and restore them on any device signed in with the same account.
How do I delete my account and data?
You can delete your account in-app (Settings) or by emailing support@neverhold.co with the subject "Delete my Neverhold account". For full details on what gets deleted and retention periods, see our Delete Account page.
