What Neverhold already shipped
Neverhold began as a full dialer (default phone app, VoIP bridges, call screening / hold monitoring).
The current closed-testing line is the Æther-first Neverhold product on the same package
(com.neverhold.dialer: TAP contact cards, TAP exchange, and Emergency ID —
with the heavy dialer / hold-monitoring surface demoted from marketing while the shared Neverhold account remains.
Through 2.1.0 that Neverhold line already included the cellular-only call shell work from the 2.0.x line,
Flutter 3.44 stability upgrades (2.0.11), and the Æther + TAP product focus for Play closed testing.

What’s new since 2.1.2 (build 30)
- Notifications: This phone registers with the Firebase installation id. A card update reaches people watching that card, and stops when the watch is removed.
- Event Viewer: Agent messages and secretary items show in the list with reminders, on the same glass cards as Settings.

- Aether Link: Accept terms, event-viewer approvals, and action review use this phone’s unlock — Class 2 fingerprint (including under-display), face, PIN, or pattern.
- Direct APK: Sideload package refreshed October 20, 2026 (same 2.1.2 build 30).
- Stability: Hold Assist no longer crashes when the phone channel is unavailable during a call.
- Stability: Cloud voicemail permission errors no longer report as crashes.
- Stability: Unusual characters in messages no longer crash link and phone-number highlighting.

What’s new since 2.1.2 (build 20)
- Sign in first: Neverhold asks you to log in before the dialer setup wizard. A saved session stays until you sign out.
- Have we met?: After setup, Yes restores your backup and opens the app. That path does not ask you to fill in a profile or make a TAP card. No still walks through card setup.
- Play purchases: This build declares Google Play Billing so in-app purchases can run when the app is installed from a Play testing track.

What’s new since 2.1.1 (build 18)
- Lock-screen Medical ID: When enabled, a notification opens TAP’s emergency ID without unlocking. The notification text does not include medical details.
- Share Medical ID via TAP: Proximity-only share. Medical ID is not attached to a personal or business card.
- Responder actions: View Medical ID, show QR, arm NFC, and message emergency contacts. SMS can include destination, status, notes, and the injured person’s name and phone.
- Card designer: More neon colors, gold / platinum / diamond finishes, stock gradients, and a custom two-stop gradient. Gold and platinum chain wraps and photo borders.
- Stability: Contacts no longer crash when read permission is off. Launch splash no longer aborts on some Xiaomi phones. Password reset and setup-wizard text is restored. Backup restore can replace your own cards from a pack.

- Tappable legal links: Terms of Service and Privacy Policy on sign-up (wizard terms card, signup, auth) open neverhold.co pages instead of plain labels.
- Data safety accuracy: Location permission disclosure corrected for BLE / Nearby on Android 12 and below (Play Data safety alignment).
- Compliance polish: In-app legal links and documentation ready for Play Console review of the current Neverhold upload.
